Sixth Form Admissions

Our Sixth Form seeks to provide appropriate course for committed students.

In offering a place in the Sixth Form we will be considering the following aspects:

  • The recommendation you have from your present school or college.
  • Your Year 11 school or college report.
  • Your intention to benefit from the course applied for.
  • A positive attitude and desire to succeed.
  • The number of places available.
  • Appropriate course and programme of study.
  • Additional needs.

Application Process

Applications should be made through the Cambridge Area Partnership applications procedure.  If you currently attend school in Cambridge or the surounding villages, your teachers will introduce you to the application process.  If you no longer attend school, are applying from outside the Cambridge area or live within the Cambridge area but do not attend a partner school please contact Miss Charlotte Wenn on 01954 288 944 ext 1995 or email cwenn@cvcweb.net.

Thursday 22nd September 2016: Sixth Form Open Evening

December 2016: Application made through your school

January – March 2017: Following receipt of your application form we will interview you

April 2017: Offer place issued

September 2017: Start at the college

Transport

Cottenham is 6 miles north of Cambridge City centre. The City bus stops at the end of the driveway and runs regularly.

The guided bus stops in Impington, where students can transfer to Cottenham.
