At Cottenham we recognise how useful the internet is for education, however we’re also fully aware of the potential dangers of misuse.
The development of the internet and communications technology on the whole creates amazing learning opportunities and also increases the ability for our students to interact. At CVC we take our responsibility to protect and educate pupils and staff seriously. As part of a whole school approach to e-safety pupils and staff take part in sessions that help them identify and manage the risks that they may be exposed to via the internet, social media or their daily use of mobile communications.
We aim to update the details on this page of the website regularly so that parents can stay up-to-date with the current issues. We have highlighted a number of useful websites below. Many of these websites offer specific guidance to parents. If you would prefer to talk to a member of staff directly regarding an e-safety matter, please contact the Student Services Team (firstname.lastname@example.org) who will ensure your inquiry is directed to the most appropriate member of staff.
