Cottenham is 6 miles north of Cambridge City centre. The City bus stops at the end of the driveway and runs regularly.
The guided bus stops in Impington, where students can transfer to Cottenham.
As a parent/carer you are responsible for ensuring the necessary transport arrangements are made so that your children can attend school.

School buses and taxis are contracted and organised by Education Transport at Cambridgeshire County Council. They are not arranged by Cottenham Village College. The contact number for Education Transport is 0345 0455208.

Y6 and in-year applications for transport with Cambridgeshire County Council
In some cases, children attending mainstream school may qualify for home to school transport. In order to be eligible for travel assistance certain criteria must be met. Please check the Cambridge County Council website to find out if your child meets the criteria and to apply for pre-16 transport. For Year 6 students hoping to guarantee transport arrangements for September, please make sure applications are submitted before the end of the summer term.
If approved for transport assistance, you will receive information about bus allocations and a timetable with your child’s bus pass. Please note that passes are usually distributed by email in late-August once the bus company have the full list of students from the county council and can plan sufficient buses and routes depending on numbers. Out of catchment bus
The optional provision of a privately run bus for out of catchment students is organised through Young’s Coaches. Places on this bus must be applied for, and bus passes must be entirely self-funded. Please contact Young’s Coaches directly for pricing and route details.
