Letter to Years 8-11 – start of the term

Dear Parents/Carers

We are very much looking forward to welcoming the new students as they start their journey with us next week. We wanted to take this opportunity to share a few helpful starting points to make the first day back as smooth as possible.

The new term starts on Wednesday 6^th September 2023 and students need to be at CVC by 8:40. To ensure a wonderfully positive start to the year, we ask all students to ensure that they have their correct uniform on, and that they are prepared with the right equipment. If there are any concerns over uniform, please do let us know as we are aware that there have been some distribution issues for some suppliers. Please do remind your student that we are a ‘no mobile phone site’. Whilst students are allowed to have their phones in their bags, they are not to use them during the school day.

Finally, a note to ask you to check whether you can access both ParentPay or the My Child at School apps. These are used regularly to share communications from school, as well as providing a way to top up lunch money. If there are any problems using any of these, please do let us know so that we can support, and ensure you have the necessary access.
