Letter from the Deputy Head

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is an honour and privilege to be the Acting Principal at Cottenham Village College next year. I am very proud of the school, pleased to be an integral part of its journey as we move the school towards being a ‘world-class’ school. I have an excellent team to work with on this and we are all committed to the continued goal of CVC being an outstanding school across the board. This takes dedication and shared ownership; I look forward to working with parents/carers, CVC staff and our Astrea colleagues as we make strides towards this vision for the school.

Upholding our high expectations for excellent standards both inside and outside the classroom remain a high priority for me and I know that this view is shared by the school staff.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Stuart Lock well in his new post as Executive Principal of Advantage Schools. I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Stuart as his deputy and I will miss his presence around the school; he will be greatly missed by us all at CVC. Stuart’s new post at Advantage Schools is an excellent opportunity for him and I wish him every success in his new role.

I look forward to welcoming our pupils back to Cottenham Village College in September. In the meantime, I hope that you and your family share some excellent quality time together, building new memories over the summer break.

Best Wishes,

Joy Hadley (Mrs)

Deputy Head
