Changes to thresholds to qualify for Free School Meals which come into effect from 1st April 2018

10th April 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to notify you of the changes to thresholds to qualify for Free School Meals (FSM) which come into effect from 1st April 2018. For further details of the changes, please refer to the enclosed letter.

These changes may mean you are now eligible to qualify for FSM. Furthermore, every child that receives free school meals also receive additional funding which is allocated to the school to support their education such as subsidising cost of school trips, purchasing revisions books, uniform or educational programmes. Therefore, we would like to encourage all families that may meet the threshold to apply.

If you have any queries or questions about these changes, please do not hesitate to contact the school or the Education Welfare Benefit Team on 01223 703200.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Quach, Senior Assistant Principal
